The Sara Project (TSP) was founded in 2021 aiming to bring 20 years of expertise in space and aeronautic domains and relevant innovating pulse into a company able to offer integrated turn-key solutions for public and private customers with particular insight in Monitoring, Control and Surveillance SW/HW integrated solutions. TSP. aims to perform development, production and marketing of integrated turn-key systems for public and private users operating in the environmental observation and video surveillance. The platforms, mainly produced in the cloud and carried out according to the operational needs and process of customers, will be focused on the integration of innovative sensors (mainly air, terrestrial and submarine drones) and on the development of algorithms based on satellite navigation technologies (GNSS), Satellite Observation of the Earth (EO), Computer Vision (CV) and artificial intelligence (AI).

DST UNIFI – Department of Earth Science of the University of Florence carries out activities for knowledge development, also in collaboration with other Competence Centres. It creates and organizes in the Central Functional Centre the national monitoring and surveillance system for hydrogeological risk through the use of tele-data to measure rate and speed of movement and/or soil deformations following landslides or catastrophic collapse, and other geological instabilities. It develops and carries out test exercises of tecniques and solid and economic systems of instrumental survey and data transmission in very aggressive environments, also submarine. It carries out real-time seismic-acoustic and technical monitoring of dynamic processes of explosive volcanoes and their connection with the speed of gravity phenomena on the side of the volcano. It contributes to strenghten monitoring and surveillance activities of Coa in Stromboli, and also the Department's technical and scientific assistance, regarding both explosive activity of Stromboli craters and triggering and landslide movements of the Sciara del Fuoco, also to predict possible seaquakes.

Advisory Board
Regione autonoma Valle d’Aosta (RAVA) performs (1) Geological site inspections in case of instability phenomena, (2) + topographic surveys for risk mitigation interventions (total station, GNSS, UAS, scanning station); (3) programming, design and construction supervision of interventions to mitigate the risk of falling rocks; (4) monitoring of large landslides in the region (third level landslides); (5) survey and monitoring of the territory following acceleration signals from satellite InSAR sensors (second level events);(6) support for the development of new methods and technologies for monitoring and surveying the territory. The EUSATfinder project is expected to enable several advanced capabilities for RAV A: (1) Control drone positions from a central command center, (2) Transmit real-time data directly from the drone's sensor, (3) Send photo and video data from the ground via satellite link, (4) Use video-sharing platform for easy access and review of footage by authorized personnel.

- Autonomous Region of Valle D’Aosta (RAVA) will have a centered role for logistic of DEMO arranged in Valle D’Aosta in coordination with CPC UNIFI.

The EU Satellite Centre supports the decision making and actions of the European Union in the field of Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), in particular Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), including European Union crisis management missions and operations, by providing products and services resulting from the exploitation of relevant space assets and collateral data, including satellite imagery and aerial imagery, and related services. SatCen is an agency under the Common Foreign and Security Policy / Common Security and Defence Policy of the EU working under the supervision of the Political and Security Committee and the operational direction of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
